Pinkney Accuses Whirlpool Of Orchestrating His Ouster From NAACP



Former Twin Cities NAACP President Ed Pinkney says he was pushed out of that position by Whirlpool. Speaking to the Berrien County Board of Commissioners, Pinkney lobbed accusations at the world's largest appliance maker.

The local NAACP is electing new leaders this evening. Whirlpool's Jeff Noel released a statement to WSJM calling Pinkney's accusations "unfounded," but added he "has the right to say what he thinks." Noel went on to say that progress is happening in the community and that will "drown out the voices of those very few who always wish to create distrust and divide."
