Groundbreaking for Harbor Town Development Held In Benton Harbor

Representatives from the city of Benton Harbor, Cornerstone Alliance, and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority were on hand Wednesday for a groundbreaking ceremony for a new subdivision. Harbor Town will be located on Market Street between Eighth Street and 12th Streets. It's intended for low to moderate income families, and is being funded with over four million dollars from the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program. The plan calls for 17 new homes to be built over the next twelve months or so...and anyone interested in applying for the subdivision can go to a sales office at 170 East Wall Street in Benton Harbor. Cornerstone Alliance is acting as the developer for Harbor Town.
