Watervliet Man Charged In Death Of Infant Son

A Watervliet area man is facing murder charges in the death of his ten month old son. The Berrien County Sheriffs Department says that 24 year old Casey Ladd was arrested after deputies found the infant in critical condition on Monday at a residence in the Cobblestone apartment complex. The child was not breathing and had unexplained bruises all over him. He was pronounced dead not long after at a Kalamazoo area hospital, and an autopsy is set for this week. Ladd is charged with felony murder and child abuse, and is being held on one million dollars bond.
