Benton Harbor Leadership Caucus Announces NAACP Endorsements

The Benton Harbor Leadership Caucus is endorsing several people in the upcoming Twin Cities NAACP Chapter election. Marcus Robinson, the former president of the Consortium for Community Development, tells WSJM he will not seek any offices and will be standing with the Leadership Caucus in their endorsements.

Listen:

As Robinson mentioned, the Leadership Caucus is endorsing Reverend James Atterberry for the office of NAACP president and Lisa Peeples-Hurst as vice president. Atterberry is the pastor at Brotherhood of All Nations Church and is the chairman of the Leadership Caucus. Reverend Edward Pinkney is being pushed out of his role as the chapter president locally. Pinkney has been fighting the state and national organization in court to try to retain the office. The election will be held on Thursday.
