The Palisades Nuclear Power Plant is again offline, removed from service Sunday morning to make repairs to a leaking cooling water tank. Plant spokesman Mark Savage said in an email there has been no release of anything radioactive. The tank had been repaired once already this summer, causing an outage of nearly one month at the troubled nuclear plant on the shore of Lake Michigan. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission ranks Palisades among the nation's four worst plants, but insists it is still operating safely.
