The NAACP of Michigan is planning an election in Benton Harbor for August 16th to replace the Twin Cities chapter's leadership...but current Chapter President the Reverend Edward Pinkney says that he'll fight it. Pinkney had sued to stop the NAACP from replacing him, but the organization told us this week that's all been resolved. Not so, says Pinkney. He believes the state NAACP still doesn't have the right to stage a vote, and that it tried to keep the August 16th events a secret:
Pinkney says that he'll take the Michigan NAACP back to court to stop the election of a new chapter president in the Twin Cities, telling us that the national presidnet of the organization must respond to his lawsuit, according to a judge's orders.
