New Twin Cities NAACP President To Be Chosen



The NAACP of Michigan has set August 16th as the date for a new chapter president election in Benton Harbor. The Reverend Edward Pinkney --current chapter president -- sued this year to stop the organization from replacing him, but NAACP Michigan Vice President James Gill tells WSJM that the issue's all been resolved, and the voting will take place:

He says that, on the 16th, the Benton Harbor NAACP will pick a new executive committee, in addition to a new president. This will essentially mean a totally new organization. The Reverend Pinkney will not be eligible to run for president again.
