Police in Benton Harbor are investigating a series of business break ins. Director of Public Safety Roger Lange tells us that the most recent one was at The Livery, on Fifth Street, around two AM on Wednesday. Someone smashed their way in, and stole a cash machine:
Nothing else was stolen. Lange says that there have been seven such incidents in the past month -- all involving someone smashing a window. In some cases, items were stolen, and in others, just the window was broken. Lange says that the community won't stand for such crimes, and urged anyone with information to call the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety at 927-8435 .
