They call it Michigan's Longest Garage Sale, and it's happening this weekend in communities all across the state. On Friday and Saturday, there will be hundreds of garage sales held in locations along the route of US 12, which is the second oldest highway in the country, and runs from New Buffalo to Detroit. Kris Martin, with the Southwest Michigan Planning Commission, tells WSJM that all sorts of interesting sales will be held all along that road:

Martin says that they've been holding the statewide US 12 garage sale each August since 2003, and some people will make a whole weekend out of it, stooping at all of the sales along the way.
