A Plainwell man, test driving a motorcycle he was repairing, has died after crashing the bike on 106th Avenue in Allegan County's Otsego Township yesterday (Monday). Police say 38-year-old Stephen Magierka III was found unconscious in the tall grass off 106th street after the accident. They tried to revive him but he was pronounced dead at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. The Sheriff's Department says Magierka had only gone about a half mile on his test drive when he failed to handle a curve and crashed into a ditch along side the road. Police say he was just going too fast, and was not wearing a helmet.
