The Saint Joseph City Commission this week voted to pursue a grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to improve the local boat launch. City Manager Frank Walsh tells WSJM that they're looking for 150 thousand dollars to add to local funds for several additions:
Walsh says that all of those things ought to bring the boat launch up to Saint Joe standards. The total project cost will be about 330 thousand dollars, and work could begin next year.
