Next week, you can enjoy a summer evening with a critically acclaimed pianist who will treat the audience to a Silent Film Showcase with live music. The program is being offered by the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. The organization's Sue Rue tells us that, on August ninth, local pianist Larry Shanker will offer a live score to some classic silent films -- a Chaplin short, and a Buston Keater romp -- along with some humorous commentary.
