Jim Hahn and Mary Brown are competing against each other for the Democratic nomination for the 79th state House district, but focused their energy attacking incumbent Republican Al Pscholka and the GOP establishment at a Monday night debate. Both ripped the Republican majorities in the House and Senate, with Hahn going after Speaker Jase Bolger.
Brown also minced no words with her criticism of the current partisan atmosphere overall in politics.
The Democrats debated the economy, term limits for Michigan elected officials, gun control and other topics for a little over an hour at the St. Joseph Public Library. They face off in the Democratic primary next Tuesday, August 7, with the winner taking on Representative Pscholka in November.
