Benton Harbor residents have the opportunity this week to learn about how they can get back on the right track if they're not living a healthy lifestyle. The Benton Harbor Citizen Empowerment Corporation is holding its 10th annual Community Health Fair on Thursday from 1 to 5 pm at the Dwight Pete Mitchell City Center Park. Corporation chairwoman Mary Bethea says there are several issues which have needed attention in the community over the past decade they've held the Health Fair.
Free food and activies for kids will also be available along with a raffle. In addition to the issues Bethea mentioned, information will be provided on asthma, substance abuse, obesity, and hypertension just to name a few. Senior citizens who need a ride can get one for free for the event from Dial-A-Ride on Thursday.
