Former Saint Joseph Today Director Tyanna Weller is among those in the running to be the next village manager of Stevensville. The village council this week settled on August eleventh as the date to interview seven candidates to take on the manager position. Besides Weller, they include Saint Joseph Township Trustee Gary Bluschke, and applicants from Holland, Clare, Jackson, Mason, and Blissfield. Stevensville Village President Lori Gibson told us recently that 41 resumes were submitted for the job when it was posted a couple of months ago, and she was encouraged to see that:
Now that the council has narrowed down the applicants to seven, interviews will be held starting at eight AM, on Saturday, August eleventh. Stevensville needs a new manager as former manager Joe Sobieralski recently left to work for Bangor. The position is full time, and pays 40 thousand dollars a year.
