Maytag To Sponsor Ironman Event

The Ironman Steelhead event coming up in Benton Harbor has found a new sponsor. Maytag has announced it's backing the endurance competition. The Ironman Steelhead is a qualifier for the 2013 Ironman World Championship, and last year, about 18 hundred athletes took part. This time around, they'll be doing a one point two mile swim in Lake Michigan and a 56 mile bike ride through northern Berrien and eastern Van Buren Counties. It'll then conclude with a 13 mile run through Harbor Shores' Jack Nicklaus Golf Course and finish at Jean Klock Park.
