Public Act Four Press Conference Set For Wednesday In BH

The Rainbow PUSH Coalition will be holding a press conference in Benton Harbor on Wednesday to talk about an effort to get a repeal of Michigan's emergency manager law on the November ballot. The event will be at city hall, set for five PM, and there's another one planned for Flint the same day. On hand will be the Rainbow PUSH Coalition's Reverend David Bullock and Benton Harbor City Commissioner Marcus Muhammad. Muhammad tells us that the message is clear -- the Supreme Court should hear the voice of the over 300 thousand people who signed petitions to get a repeal of Public Act Four on the ballot:

The Rainbow PUSH Coalition's Reverend David Bullock says that a technicality over font sizes is no reason to block the referendum:

He says that buses from all over the state filled with PA Four opponents will head to Lansing next week when the Supreme Court considers whether to move the referendum forward. Speaking in Benton Harbor Wednesday will be Bullock, as well as City Commissioner Marcus Muhammad and former mayor Wilce Cooke.
