Palisades Reacts To Damaging Report



Representatives of the Palisades nuclear power plant say that they welcome the findings of an independent report done on the facility's safety practices. The report done by Conger and Elsea Incorporated and released this week says that the staff of the Covert area facility lacks understanding and trust with management. Palisades spokesman Mark Savage says that the study was voluntary, and its findings will be used to improve operations:

Savage says that staff could undergo additional training as a result of the report, adding that Palisades maintains a positive relationship with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
