Upton Reelection Campaign Among The Biggest Money Raisers In MI

Congressman Fred Upton appears to be a big shot in Michigan politics. According to the most recent report from the Michigan Campaign Finance Network, Upton has raised the second most amount of money for his reelection effort out of all of the state's representatives. He's been able to collect three point one six million dollars...second only to Congressman Dave Camp's three point five million. In fact, the MCFN data shows that the state's incumbents are pretty entrenched this election cycle, having amassed 18 point seven million of the 22 point seven million dollars raised by candidates running in the August seventh primary. The Michigan Campaign Finance Network is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that conducts research on money in state politics.
