Red Cross Declares Emergency Need For Blood Donations



The Red Cross has declared an emergency need for blood donations. This week, the organization's Monica Stoneking told us that the blood supply is dangerously low right now:

She says that donations have been slow this summer, partly because of a recent strike by Red Cross employees, and now is the time for people to step up and help get things back on track. The Red Cross has several drives planned in Southwest Michigan over the next month. Below is a list of them. Also, you're advised to make an appointment to give by going to RedCrossBlood.org, or calling 1-800-Red-Cross.
