78th district Candidate Forum Planned For This Week

This Thursday, the League of Women Voters will be holding a candidate forum for those running to be the next 78th District State House representative. On hand at the event -- set for six-30 at the Berrien RESA office in Berrien Springs -- will be Republicans David Mann, Dave Pagel, and Brian Savage, as well as Democrats Jack Arbanas and Gerry Welling. They're all looking to replace the outgoing State Representative Sharon Tyler, who's now running for Berrien County Clerk. Also on Thursday, at eight-15 at the same location, there will be a forum for the candidates for Berrien County Drain Commissioner. On the ballot in that August seventh race are Roger Zilke, Rich Hurst, and Christopher Quattrin.
