Senator Proos To Hold Press Conference On Erin's Law With Advocate Erin Merryn

State Senator John Proos will hold a press conference tomorrow with Erin Merryn and Berrien County Council for Children Executive Director Jamie Rossow to highlight a bill for "Erin's Law." The legislation is aimed at helping to protect children from sexual abuse and is named for Merryn. She is a survivor and is working to get the measure passed in all 50 stages. Merryn is from Illinois and has written several books about what she went through. The bills will create a one-time Task Force on the Prevention of the Sexual Abuse of Children to make recommendations to school boards addressing child sexual abuse.
