St. Joseph Schools Superintendent Ann Cardon is looking for answers from Lansing that could help close a more than one-million-dollar budget hole in the fall. She says it concerns the teacher retirement system funding that the House passed last month.
Cardon says they remain in talks with the teachers for some possible concessions if the state funding situation doesn't change much, or doesn't change enough. She says the district does not have a spending problem, rather it has a problem in the funding coming from the state.
