If you need to take M-139 in Benton Township south of Napier this afternoon, you should probably look for an alternate route. Michigan Gas Utilities spokesman Paul Livernois says they've got a gas leak near the Dairy Queen caused by a fitting giving out between two pipes.
Livernois says the leak was not caused by any digging in the area, and adds this sort of leak is rare. He expects crews will have the problem repaired by around the 5 pm hour.
