Midwest Energy Cooperative Warns Of New Scam

Midwest Energy cooperative is warning customers of a new bill payment scam. Representatives say that the Better Business Bureau has reported that consumers have been contacted by phone, text message, and email with claims that President Obama is providing credits for applying payments to utility bills. Of course, the sender of the message will need personal information like social security or bank account numbers to help the intended victim enroll. Needless to say, this is a scam. Midwest Energy says you shouldn't give out your personal info to anyone who contacts you in such a manner. For more information on this particular swindle, go to BBB.org .
