PGA Donates Money To Benton Harbor Non Profits

The PGA of America on Thursday announced that, through a partnership with Levy Restaurants, it's donated over 42 thousand dollars to community groups in Benton Harbor. Director for the 73rd Senior PGA Championship Jeff Hintz says that the area really embraced the event when it took place here in May, and the PGA's proud to help support local non profits. During the 73rd Senior PGA Championship, Levy Restaurants partnered with several non profit groups to provide volunteers for the golf tournament, and also to support charitable causes. People from five organizations managed concessions stands at Harbor Shores, earning the donations. Among them -- the MC Foundation, which has received a donation of just under 29 thousand dollars...the Consortium for Community Development, which received about 64 hundred dollars...and the Saint Joseph Benton Harbor Rotary, which got 18 hundred. Additionally, Levy Restaurants has donated 78 hundred dollars in food -- an amount equal to more than one thousand meals -- to The Soup Kitchen of Benton Harbor.
