We'll have to wait and see what the unemployment numbers look like when they're released soon from the state, but Congressman Fred Upton says from what he's hearing, he's expecting the figures to improve. He tells WSJM that he's been meeting with local businesses throughout the 6th Congressional District and jobs are available.
Upton pointed to a wood finishing business he visited Thursday in Dowagiac and another facility that's getting set to hire as many as 60 people in Cass County in a brownfield redevelopment project as further proof. He says American Axle in Three Rivers is adding jobs as well in the auto parts sector.
