The Village of Baroda is in need of a new council president with the surprise resignation this week of Bob Getz. The "Herald-Palladium" reports Getz announced his resignation at Tuesday night's Village Council meeting after nearly a decade in the position. The council will now have 40 days to find a replacement, and President Pro Tem Larry Nye says he does not want the position. Also at this week's meeting, Tina Boehm was hired to be the new village Clerk. She will replace Diane Mensinger as she leaves later this month for a job as deputy clerk for Berrien County.
