Open Murder Charges Authorized In Cass County Stabbing

Open murder charges have been authorized in Cass County against 59-year-old Edward Hensley for the stabbing death of his sister. Martha Sexton was found dead in the home they shared in Mason Township on Friday afternoon. Hensley was arrested a few hours later in Elkhart, Indiana and is awaiting extradition back to Michigan. Investigators say the brother and sister had only been living in the home in Mason Township for about ten days before the stabbing. Police have not revealed a possible motive.
