The week, we reported that theHumane Society of Southwest Michigan has been running low on dog food, and just a day later, the organization tells us that it's been getting a flood of donations. The Humane Society's Jill Svoboda says people around here are generous:
She says that the dog food supply got low because, this time of year, adoptions usually go down while the entrance of new animals continues at a steady pace. Because the Humane Society of a no-kill shelter, it'll have some animals who stay on for as long as a year or more, so food demands can be high.
