It won't be long before the new Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds is open in New Buffalo. The finishing touches are being put on the restaurant and music venue at the Four Winds Casino, and the casino's assistant general manager Frank Freedman says it will be a little bit bigger than the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago.
Guitars from Kid Rock, Bob Seger and Cheap Trick are already on the walls, as is a jacket from Jerry Lee Lewis and the outfit worn by Elton John on the cover of the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album. The Hard Rock will be open on July 11 and is part of an expansion that includes a new hotel tower with 250 rooms and the Silver Creek Event Center. The event center's opening event is coming up on July 7 when Rod Stewart performs. Four Winds will be announcing a Labor Day weekend show on Monday.
