A Red Flag Warning is in effect from the National Weather Service for Van Buren and Allegan counties. The warning will be in effect from 1 pm to 10 pm today due to stiff winds, low humidity and high temperatures around 90 degees. Red Flag Warnings are issued when critical fire weather conditions are either happening or will in the very near future. The NWS is urging people to be careful with things like outdoor grills, cigarettes, chain saws and all-terrain vehicles that can throw a spark and ignite a fire.
