South Haven residents will soon be paying more for their water. This week, the city council approved a 19 and a half percent rate hike, which City Manager Brian Dissette says is needed to continue paying for the water treatment plant:
The new rate takes effect next month. Dissette says that the sewer and electric rates will remain the same.
