It's a tradition in Benton Harbor each summer -- the Gene Harris Coming Home Coming Together Concert -- and it'll be held Sunday at the Dwight P Mitchell City Center Park. The free event attracts all sorts of music lovers, and Jamie Balkin, with Cornerstone Alliance, tells us that there will be a familiar face performing:
Nikki Harris has toured the world since leaving Benton Harbor, performing with the likes of Ray Charles, Leann Rimes, Michelle Branch, and Santana...but she always comes back for the Gene Harris Coming Home Coming Together Concert. The doors this Sunday will open at five PM, and local talent will perform starting at six-15.
