Lawrence Teen Drunk_ High At Time Of Fatal Crash

The toxicology report on 18-year-old Lawrence High School senior James Reeder shows he had marijuana in his system and was twice the legal limit drunk when he was killed on June 3, the morning he was to graduate. Reeder slammed into a gas tanker truck around 4:30 that morning on Indiana State Road 23. The driver of the tanker survived, but Reeder died at the scene. Police also found a case of beer in his truck. Reeder's blood-alcohol level was 0.16.
