A Niles teen lost his life yesterday (Sunday) after leaving a Father's day celebration. Police say 16-year-old Dilan Shearer was killed when he lost control of his car on Oak Forest Road near Curran Road in Bertrand Township just before 2 pm yesterday. Shearer suffered a fatal injury when his car rolled over and hit a tree. He attended Buchanan High School and was on his way to another relative's house in Bertand Township when the accident happened. This was one of two fatal crashes over the weekend in the Niles area. Another man, whose name has not yet been released, was killed early Sunday morning in a crash on Redfield Road in Milton Township.
