Cause Of Buchnan Barn Fire Undetermined

Officials with the Michigan State Police have been unable to determine the cause of a barn fire that killed over 60 cows in Buchanan Township last week. Investigators say that, because the structure was so badly destroyed, there's not enough to go on. However, they also add that the fire is not considered suspicious. Meanwhile, the Powers family, who owned that dairy farm in the 16 thousand block of Wells Road, told WSBT TV that they've been getting donations from neighbors and others in the community since the devastating blaze. Only one of their milk cows survived that fire, and they're waiting to find out what insurance will cover.
