The relatively warm weather isn't stopping the Dowagiac Ice Festival from happening this weekend. On Saturday, the events kick off at six 30 in the morning, with the hibernation sales. That's when shops around downtown give discounts to people who show up in their pajamas. Then, the ice carving begins at eight AM. Ice Time Chairman Tim Dowsett says that there's plenty of food available all day, and activities for all ages:
Dowsett says that the ice sculptors who come into town never fail to impress, and luckily, the weather isn't expected to be much of a problem, even though the temperatures will likely be in the 40s. Again, that's the Dowagiac Ice Time Festival this Saturday, all day, downtown.
