Former Berrien County Woman Jailed For Attempted Child Drowning

A woman who used to live in Berrien County is in a Louisiana jail for allegedly trying to drown her children. 31 year old Hailey Schramm was arrested this month for the December incident in the town of Sunset. According to the Daily World, she'd made comments to someone about being suicidal on December tenth, and after being taken to a hospital, she admitted to staff that she'd tried to kill her kids the night before. The Herald Palladium reported this week that it's heard from sources who said Schramm was a graduate of River Valley High School. She'd just recently moved to Louisiana, and remains jailed. Her three boys -- ages three, six, and nine -- are with Child Protective Services. Photo from the Daily World.
