A Grand Junction woman is facing charges after hitting a Van Buren County Deputy with her car. When 39-year-old Sandra Aaron pulled up to her home in the 51000 block of Baseline Road in Columbia Township late Friday night, she found police arresting her 18-year-old daughter and another 18-year-old Grand Junction woman for underage drinking. Deputies say that's when Aaron stopped her car in the middle of the road, got out and started asking officers why they were arresting her daughter. Then when the deputies started to investigate Aaron for drunk driving, she jumped back into her car, hit the accelerator and ran over an officer's foot. The South Haven Police Department later picked up Aaron. And She now faces multiple charges, including felonious assault on a police officer, operating while intoxicated and contributing to the delinquency of minors. Aaron is being held on $5,000 bond. The two teenagers are awaiting arraignment. The deputy was treated and released from the hospital for foot and leg injuries.
