Waterfront Film Festival Picks South Haven

It's official - the Waterfront Film Festival is headed to South Haven. It was held in Saugatuck for 14 years, but organizers decided they needed a new home. St. Joseph has applied to host the festival in 2015 and 2016, with City Manager Frank Walsh telling us that the money for the event will be privately raised. Grand Haven is also in the mix, and Waterfront Film Festival officials say they may start rotating it between South Haven, Grand Haven and St. Joseph. In a statement, co-founder Hopwood DePree thanked the city of Saugatuck for resolving the issues between the two sides and said there is a chance it could return to that community in the future.
