He was drunk and weaving down Paw Paw Street in the Village of Lawrence so police pulled him over just after three PM Thursday. Sure enough the smell of alcohol was even stronger than the smell of the exhaust coming off his Murray Riding Lawnmower. Police say he had a beer between his legs, and marijuana in his pocket as he confessed he was driving home from his friend's house. 48 year old William Swartz was taken into custody on a bench warrant for failing to appear at a child support hearing. He was also busted for operating a motorized vehicle under the influence and the drug possession charge.
