Upton, House Advance Bill To Cut Red Tape, Speed Up Natural Gas Exports



A bill to cut red tape currently blocking exports of U.S. liquefied natural gas to allies has passed the House. Congressman Fred Upton, who cosponsored the Domestic Prosperity and Global Freedom Act, says the need for increased U.S. LNG exports has received considerable support and attention as the crisis between Russia and Ukraine continues.

Analysts have concluded that America has more than enough gas to supply our domestic needs and the export market. H.R. 6 passed with bipartisan support.
