Congressman Fred Upton celebrated his apparent primary victory over challenger JackHoogenddyk on Tuesday night, as the results shows the incumbent Upton ahead of Hoogendyk, around 66 percent to 33 percent. Upton told supporters in Saint Joseph that he's heard a lot from voters during this campaign:
And he said it's been received loud and clear in Washington. Upton said the energy independence will also be a priority as he works with the next Congress. Meanwhile, Upton's challenger in November, Mike O'Brien, told us that he plans to mount an energetic campaign. O'Brien thinks that 25 years of Upton representing the Sixth District is enough:
