UFCU To Break Ground On New Operations Center In Niles Thursday



Ground will be broken Thursday in Niles on a new 20,000 square foot Operations Center by United Federal Credit Union. CEO Gary Easterling talked to WSJM News about why they're expanding their corporate footprint to the southern part of Berrien County.

Once the construction equipment is in place at 2100 South 11th Street, it's not expected to take too long to compete the work.

Easterling says initially, about 80 people will be working at the new center in Niles, with room for growth.

There are several buildings that will make up the campus, and it's being built on land the credit union already owned. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Construction on new facilities in St. Joseph is expected to start later this summer as well.
