Two Seriously Injured in Drunk Driving Crash by Stevensville


A Bridgman man and his teenage passenger were seriously injured in a single-vehilce roll-over crash near Stevensville Wednesday night. Lincoln Township Police Chief Dan Sullivan says that officers were sent to the scene at Holden Road near Bridgman and Baroda Roads around eleven-40 PM on a report of an SUV that had gone off the roadway and flipped over. When they got there, they found the driver -- 24 year-old Michael Murphey, of Bridgman -- in critical condition and unresponsive. His passenger -- 15 year-old Jeremy Gibson, also of Bridgman -- also suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to Lakeland Hospital, and Sullivan says police are still looking into the cause of the crash:
