A couple of accidents in Berrien Springs on Tuesday morning. Police say that the first one occurred around seven-50 AM when a 52 year old Marc Bussan, of Niles, was northbound on the US 31 ramp off M139 when he thought he saw another vehicle headed the wrong way in his direction. Bussan braked and ended up sliding into the median and rolling over. Witnesses say that there wasn't anyone headed toward him when the crash occurred. He was treated and released at Lakeland Hospital in Niles, and cited for having bald rear tires. Then, later on Tuesday morning, 80 year old Sally Hendricks, of South Bend, rolled her Buick over on the ramp at US 31 and M139 when she looked away from the road to grab a water bottle. She and her two passengers were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital. That crash left the M31 ramp closed for a while around noon.
