Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank is accepting a $100,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation to help fund hunger relief in Benton Harbor. Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank distributed nearly two-million pounds of food last year, serving Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties. CEO Kenneth Estelle says this money will help with expansion.
Walmart will officially present the grant on Monday, January 14th beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Feeding America West Michigan's Benton Harbor branch warehouse at 1488 East Empire Avenue.
