A national cable network is digging into some Berrien County history. The Travel Channel's paranormal investigative series The Dead Files was recently in our listening area filming for an upcoming episode. An interview with local historian Chriss Lyon took place at The Friendly Tavern in Coloma. Managing Partner Ray Mayes said for business, getting on TV is a no brainer.
Lyon was asked to research a group of people that lived in a house in Watervliet, near the turn of the 20th century. Her interview was to verify information the Travel Channel had already researched.
Lyon was not told which individuals she researched would be the one's featured on the show, but she did say the episode will air in roughly three months. The Dead Files current airs Friday night's at 10 p.m. on the Travel Channel.
