The Public Is Invited To Help Celebrate SMC's Golden Anniversary



Southwestern Michigan College is turning 50 years old. To help celebrate its golden anniversary College officials are inviting the public to the Dowagiac campus for a day-long celebration of free events.

College President Dr. David Mathews says professional fireworks will be displayed Saturday, September 20 over the College.

The College's famous rock climbing gym will be open for use as well.

Dr. Mathews says SMC is not the College it was a half century ago. He calls that a good thing, because of continual growth of the student body and campuses. The daylong celebration will be held Saturday, September 20. It's free to the public. For more information visit SWmich.edu/50.
